I am Chief Economist at the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy. Among other things, I am responsible for the Consumer Pyramids Household Survey. The CPHS is a household panel of 170,000+ households across India that is representative at the national, state and (almost) district level.

I studied at the National University of Juridical Sciences (BA, LLB 2010) and then the law school and economics departments at UC Berkeley (LLM, PhD in Economics 2017). I am broadly interested in labour economics and the regulation of markets. I have also worked at True North Managers LLP and at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research.
